Jawai safaris follow the light. Start times move earlier in the evening and later in the morning through the winter months, so we keep two sets of times. These are the start times in our booking system today; your confirmation always shows the exact time for your date.

Sunrise or sunset?
- Sunrise: First light, cooler hours and leopards often still moving after the night.
- Sunset: Golden light on the granite and leopards coming out onto the rocks.
- Both: the combo gives you two drives, on the same day or the evening drive and then the next sunrise.

On the day
- Meet at the Jawai Safari Pick-up Point, near the bus stand in Sena. Hotel pick-up within 10 km is free; station pick-ups from Jawai Bandh or Falna can be arranged.
- Reach a little before the start time; the team briefs you before the gypsies leave.

Is Jawai open all year?
Yes. Jawai is not a national park, so there is no monsoon closure and no park permit to queue for. Safaris run every day of the year; see Jawai in the monsoon and winter safaris.
